As Rock lined up to shoot over the winning score two weeks ago memories of 2011 came rushing back. Last time it was Dublin’s number 1 Cluxton who slotted it over and crushed Kerry’s heart. However Rock did not have such pleasure.
Kerry showed immense heart and determination to come back from a five point deficit but Dublin’s experience was enough to secure a draw. ❎The Dubs were rattled both on the field and off with how close they were at losing their drive for five.
This Saturday Kerry come to the capital for another shot at Dublin????????. Still the mutter around the place is that Dublin will win at the second time of asking especially with 15 players on the pitch????. Others are buying into the belief that Kerry have blown their chance????????.
People were foolish to undermine this young Kerry team two weeks ago—losing to Dublin by less than 6 points would be a morale victory some believed ????. Yet these young garsons went toe-to-toe with Goliath and rattled him.
All eyes will be on Croke Park Saturday night, remember Kerry didn’t stick to the so-called script in their first encounter. Don’t be surprised if they don’t stick to it this time either. ????????
